Shalom and Welcome!

Rabbi Betsy Roth

Are you 13 or 83 or somewhere in between?  It is never too late to become a Bar or Bat Mitzvah.  Bar Mitzvah Your Way offers Bar and Bat Mitzvah lessons for the young – and the young at heart.

My name is Rabbi Betsy Roth.  For years I have been partnering with families to craft a personal Bar/Bat Mitzvah Service for you, your child(ren), a family member, or friend.  We work together to form a Service that meets your needs and creates a unique, spiritual and engaging day for everyone involved.

Bar Mitzvah Your WayPeople come to me from all walks of life.  Wherever you are Jewishly, that is where we begin.  I work with individuals who are Hebrew literate or just starting out on their Jewish path.

I am especially sensitive to InterFaith families.  So, my Services are very inclusive!  I have experience with special needs children and work tirelessly to make their Bar/Bat Mitzvah a day they and their families will never forget.

My goal as your Service Leader is to generate a Service that is meaningful and memorable.  My goal as a teacher is to create a comfort zone and establish a warm relationship that promotes trust and motivation.

Regardless of background or knowledge, all that matters is your desire to celebrate this transformative life-cycle event.  I am here to support you on this path to embrace and experience this tradition in Your Way!

REFERENCE LETTER

Thank you for leading the amazing Bar Mitzvah service today for Max xxxx It was my favorite Bar Mitzvah and after 50 years of being married to my Jewish husband I've attended a few.

You created a warmth and interest in the prayers, explaining the parts of the service that people may not know and also invited people to see what a Torah looks like up close.

I loved the simplicity and the teaching. People were involved and participated on different levels. It was lovely.

Thank you and I send prayers for Israel and prayers for wisdom in trying to bring this war to an end.

Susan xxxx (one of Max's aunts and helper for unveiling of the Torah (with Flare).
